Instead of my usual ‘Monthly Make-up’ I thought I would switch it up so from now on it will be my ‘Spotlight” product. One product that has stood out to me in that month. Old or new, it really doesn’t matter.
So for the first instalment and this month’s spotlight it is the NIOD Photography Fluid, Opacity 12%
This stuff makes my skin look absolutely flawless. I have pretty good skin anyway (when it behaves) and people do comment every now and again but when I wear this I always get told how beautiful my skin is. It is really easy to use; I simply pop my primer on and then dot this all over my face and rub it in.
If you are a make-up junkie then I would say it is a definite must have but if you wear minimal make-up then I would say to give it a miss unless you would use it as your new base!
Have you used this before? What did you think.?
This month has been another manic month! I have tried to keep my nails neutral to last longer but when I saw this colour below I just had to give it a try. It’s another colour by O.P.I, so no change there, but this time it is called ‘I Canolli Wear OPI’.
A short and simple post today but let me know what you think of this colour.
If you can recommend any colours or polishes let me know 🙂
As I said in my previous post, I have been trying to explore London a little bit more now that I am definitely moving a little further out (2 weeks yesterday!!! ahhh!).
I have been using my meetings as the perfect opportunity to try new places and explore a little more. I recently met the Lovely Emily from Fashion Foie Gras (If you haven’t checked her out and love your fashion you really should!) at TAP, a little coffee shop just off Oxford Street.
Honestly it was one of the best coffee’s I have had. I am a latte kind of girl but for some reason I decided to go for a Black Coffee this time. I immediately thought I would regret it but was pleasantly surprised when I absolutely loved it. It isn’t very often that happens to me! They do make your run of the mill flat white or latte but I would highly recommend a simple black filtered coffee!
It is bang in-between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road tube stations so perfect if you want to grab a quick refuel before hitting the shops. I would 100% recommend especially if you are a coffee lover!
Have you tried this place?
Where else would you recommend for coffee?
After wanting to go for almost a year I finally managed to get down to The Breakfast Club. Every time I would walk past this place in London Bridge it had a queue down the road so I was always intrigued and thought it must be pretty good if everyone is queuing for an hour!
It really didn’t disappoint the breakfast was really tasty. Although I did have to wait in the queue for over an hour, it didn’t taint my opinion in the slightest. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my time there, of course this may have been helped by the good company. Don’t get my wrong thought, I wouldn’t be queuing like that on a regular basis! I went as a treat while my grandparents were visiting and all four meals were enjoyed and very quickly consumed!
The atmosphere is what really makes it – even though you know the majority of people in there are probably hungover and just want a large breakfast, it is still absolutely buzzing. I would completely recommend it if you have friends down or even family as it is a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.
The prices aren’t exactly cheap but they are also quite reasonable especially when you think about the locations of The Breakfast Club. So it is definitely a great one off treat for anyone visiting or for someone in need of good food and a good atmosphere.

I’m a little late to the party but I finally decided to give the Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter a go. After hearing so many people rave about it I just couldn’t resist!
The list of ingredients really are endless so here goes the full list of ingredients…

- Butyrospermum Parkii Butter/Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter (Skin Conditioning Agent – Emollient)
- Caprylyl Glycol (Skin Conditioning Agent)
- Tocopherol (Antioxidant)
- Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance)
- Aqua/Water (Solvent/Diluent)

If you have oily skin you should DEFINITELY stay well away from this. It is very oily and I noticed a difference in my skin almost immediately. On the other hand, if your skin is on the dry side (as mine was slightly before using this) it is perfect!
The make-up really does just melt away when using this. I simply rubbed a small amount of the balm over my face and used a warm muslin cloth to remove the make-up. I found I did have to go over twice just because of the oily texture but once that was done my skin felt extremely clean.
I would say that it is worth it but make sure you know your skin type before deciding whether you should go for it or not. It isn’t too expensive (£13) but there is nothing more annoying than buying the wrong thing and having to give it away or throw it! I won’t be switching from my holy grail Liz Earle but I would say it’s pretty good.
Have you tried it before? What were your thoughts?
You may have noticed by now that I am a real fan of going out to breakfast. I have been meaning to write about this place in particular for a little while now as it was something I stumbled across and immediately loved! Muriel’s Kitchen has three London-based restaurants we went to the Soho one.
First of all my grandma’s name is Muriel so we were immediately loving it because of that. Then we walked in and the decorations were so cute it was like walking in to someones home. I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all, I just wanted to get cosy and eat some delicious food.
I really was not disappointed! I had the pancakes which I posted on my instagram later (so apologise if you have seen this picture before). In true form, you can not have pancakes (with blueberries inside might I add) without something yummy on top like crispy bacon rashes. They were absolutely amazing by the way. The service was friendly and very quick which was another positive and I walked away feeling lovely and full.
I would 100% recommend Muriel’s Kitchen as a quite brunch place in a very busy part of town!
