Lush Christmas 2016 Sneak Peak

Hey Everyone,

Last night I went to the Lush Victoria Store to get preview of the Lush Christmas Products which go on sale on the 1st of October 2016. I thought why not take the opportunity to blog a little bit for you. I am waiting to get my new camera (which isn’t so heavy) so it was all done on my iPhone – I apologise.

Obviously there are some old favourites such as Snow Fairy but there were also some new bits that looked really interesting. You can see everything here

Cocktail Class: Strawberry Prosecco

Hey Everyone,

I don’t know a lot of people who don’t like Prosecco. I, for one, love it! This is a really easy cocktail to throw a twist in to your regular Prosecco.

strawberry prosecco

Strawberry Prosecco Ingredients:
  • Fresh Mint
  • Strawberries
  • Prosecco (lots of it! Obviously!)
Method:

It is really simple! Chop the strawberries up to prepare for the next step.

Rip some mint from the stalk and put it in a glass with the strawberries. Simply crush them until you have a puree left.

Add the prosecco and sieve the strawberry pips and large piece of mint out. Pour into a prosecco glass and that is it.

If you want to feel extra fancy garnish it with a mint leaf and strawberry.

Baking: Mini Peanut Butter Cookies

Hey Everyone,

If you have followed me for a little while now you will know I like a spot of baking. If you have recently begun following me then welcome to a baking post!

This is possibly the easiest thing I have baked. It was spur of the moment and really didn’t take long at all. I chose to mix almond and peanut butter but you can do one of the other if you prefer.

Mini Peanut Butter Cookies Ingredients:
Method:

Heat the oven at 180°c/160°c fan and line 2 baking trays with baking parchment.

Add all the ingredients into a bowl and mix really well until the mixture forms a dough. Break the mixture into small balls, the size of cherry tomatoes.

Place them on a baking tray and squash the dough down a little bit to help with the baking process.

Pop in the oven for 10-12 minutes and leave the to cool. Once cool you are ready to eat them, the best part!

Hair Removal Routine

Hey Everyone,

This may seem like a funny time of year to talk about hair removal seeing as the jeans and boots are making their way back in to our daily routines, well once this random heatwave is over. However, I have mastered a hair removal routine that is the quickest and most effective way to remove hair with little effort. Sound too good to be true? I know I thought so too but there are products that actually work really well for this.

Upper Lip

I’m a huge fan of waxing when it comes to my upper lip. It’s quick, relatively pain free and you don’t have to do it again for a good few weeks. I’m not fussy when it comes to facial wax strips – they all do the same job in my eyes. Veet has always been my go to brand for anything like this – I usually use the ones with easy grip, cut them down and wax away.

Legs

When it comes to my legs, I am all about shaving. Waxing doesn’t seem to last much longer, is very painful and is time consuming. Can you tell i’m not a fan? Shaving is quick, easy and pain free, as long as you don’t cut yourself! I’m not fussy about my shaving cream however I am fussy about my razors. I have always loved Venus – at the moment I’ve been loving the Venus Snap. Well, that’s a lie i’ve been loving it for over a year now.

Eyebrows

My eyebrows are the most time-consuming part of my hair removal routine. I am a sucker for threading – I don’t like the shape with any other form of hair removal. That’s the only part that is a bit of a pain. I find that threading produces a much cleaner finish and lasts around 3/4 weeks for me.

What do you use?

That’s it from me.
