I haven’t been to a festival this year so I haven’t had the pleasure of getting all dressed up and trying to discover the easiest ways to stay looking decent all day/night long.
There is one really simple way to keep yourself looking on point – Jewellery Tattoos! I have had these products for a while now but I just had to post about them at some point because they are not only really cool but a really great way to ‘wear jewellery’ at a festival and not be worried that it will break or turn green because of all the sweat/rain.
It may sound really weird and you may be going back in time to when you used to buy magazines and get the free stick on tats but they actually look great. I went for a simple design (below) but you can put as little or as much as you want on.
They are also really easy to get off – I just used a cotton pad and some micellar water and it was off in less than 5 mins. So you don’t need worry if your work are strict with these sorts of things. It is possibly the easiest thing I have done and it will last you all weekend.
Have you tried them? What did you think?
I am becoming (slowly but surely) a face mask addict. I love how my skin feels after it and actually I just love the whole process. I feel like I’m doing some good for my skin whilst having a little bit of me time.
The focal ingredient in this mask is Snail Secretion Filtrate; basically a very posh way of saying Snail Gel. You are probably grossed out at this point and thinking errgghhh why would you put snail gel on you! Well let me tell you – the reason for doing this is to regenerate and protect.
The Ins & Outs
This ingredient is well loved in Korea as it is known for it’s anti-aging properties; it repairs damaged skin, restores hydration and improves hyper-pigmentation. The slime (that really does make it sound gross) is full of nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, glycoprotein enzymes, antimicrobial peptides, and proteoglycans.
This particular mask irritated my skin massively, I ended up with a very red face. If you follow my snapchat (tayp92) you would have witnessed that! However, once that had calmed down a few hours later my skin look beautifully glowing for about 3 days.
I am going to give this another go and see how I get on but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it more than once a week. If your skin is feeling sensitive I would also avoid this mask.

We all know the drill- you spend all summer trying to get beautifully tanned skin and then Autumn comes around and you are pale again. I have come up with a few tips to keep your summer glow for as long as you possibly can… so here goes.
- Stay hydrated – You can moisturise until you are blue in the face but if you aren’t hydrating your body from the inside (i.e. water) then none of that matters. Make sure you are drinking enough throughout the day. This will stop your skin from drying out and inevitably flaking, loosing that tan you have worked so hard for.
- Moisturise – I may have made it seem like moisturising isn’t important in point 1 but it really is. Stay hydrated and moisturise on top of that and your skin should be looking healthy for longer.
- Exfoliate – This is the dreaded thing, everybody thinks it will ruin your tan but it really won’t. It will however prevent your skin look flakey because if it has reached that point there is no going back so you may as well deal with the problem. Use a really moisturising exfoliator to help your skin.
- Switch your shower gel – try switching your shower gel to a version which is moisturising. Some shower gels can be quite drying so make sure you have a really nourishing one ready to go.
- Hair removal – Think about how you are removing your hair, try not to wax as this can damage your tan. Shaving and hair removal creams work really well.
That is all from me – is there anything you can recommend?
If you are a blogger – I’m sure, like me, you are always looking to make your life a little easier. I find that I actually end up getting most of my posts done on my phone and then I will just refresh them on my computer before posting or scheduling.
This is so handy – you can write posts on the go and even post them. It means that you aren’t going to have to carry round masses of notepads just to get some ideas down. You can do it while creativity hits you and then fix it up later.
Sometimes I will find that I have forgotten to post on social media for days! When you have posts going up regaularly this is a bit of a nightmare. In comes hootsuite – I usually schedule my regular social media bits and then I can also tweet on the go. It gives you options and means you don’t have to worry about ‘advertising’ all over twitter because you will have them scheduled and ready to go.
This is the easiest way to keep up with other blogs. Having a busy lifestyle it can be really hard to keep up on your own blog let alone others, but having a good network of friends is a great part of blogging. Bloglovin can help you keep up with all your favourites and discover some new people!
This app is not only great for home inspiration but blogging inspiration. When I’m having writers block I will go on Pinterest and have a look around, see what people are chatting about – I guess it’s the same with all social media but I always find Pinterest a little more inspiring.
What apps do you use to make blogging on-the-go easier?

I recently went to the Pixi by Petra A/W launch. It was held at the Pixi Flagship store just off Carnaby Street, which is absolutely beautiful by the way. If you haven’t been and you like Pixi products you should give it a go. It is a bloggers dream – lots of marble and clean white surfaces!
I was very lucky to get a lovely goodie bag with some of the new launches for me to try and some existing products too! I haven’t tried a lot of Pixi products so I was really pleased as it’s something I have been meaning to try for a while now.
Seeing as I have now had a little experiment with the products, I thought it was only right to let you guys know what I thought.
Makeup Fixing Mist
Now we all know I absolutely love my NYX and I haven’t found anything that matches up to it. While I am waiting to buy a new one, this is a very good (all be it temporary) replacement. You can spray it on before your make-up for lasting power or after your make-up has been applied for refreshing.
Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pencil
The pencil is so soft and goes on with barely any pressure. It is also so easy to smudge out so if you want a more chilled out/ messy look it is great. I don’t use pencil eyeliners very often as I find them too rough but I would use this again.
I am not a fan of Lipgloss and barely wear it anyway but I probably wouldn’t wear this one. It is quite sticky – which some people like but I don’t really like that. As someone with quite full lips, I didn’t really notice the difference but I did notice the almost minty taste which was quite nice.
Moisturizing Cleansing Cloth
I have completely gone off using wipes to remove make-up but with my move it has temporarily come back into my routine just for convenience really. They are lovely facial wipes, they aren’t drying and get most of the rubbish off your face. If you are a facial wipe kind of person then they are worth a try.
Have you tried this range before? What did you think?
Is there anything I have to try?
You have probably heard of Olaplex No 3, especially if you are a little bit of a beauty junkie!
In a nutshell it is the latest ‘wonder’ product that has everyone really excited with the results. Let me tell you, I AM OBSESSED! At first I wasn’t sure because yeah my hair felt softer but I didn’t feel like anything was happening. Now I am 100% hooked!
As a former blonde (wanting to return to it) my hair is disgustingly damaged, dry and generally gross. Before returning to my blonde tresses I wanted to get it in really good condition so I can try and maintain healthy hair. This has most definitely helped – don’t get me wrong I still have a few more bottles to use before I can go back to my bleach blonde but it really is making my hair condition much much better.
If you have dry damaged locks I would definitely recommend getting this. It helps to strengthen the bonds in all hair types. It can be used once a week or as a part of a preparation for colour. I usually how it on the night before a hair wash and then french plait my hair and sleep in it. I try to leave it on for as long as possible and then simply wash my hair as I normally would.
The only downside is that it is expensive and relatively hard to get hold of! I managed to find mine for super cheap on amazon but I have recently tried again and they are either extortionately expensive or delivery is weeks away! I will keep you informed on twitter if I find anything.
I will definitely be repurchasing Olaplaex No 3, when I can find it!
Have you tried it? What did you think? Is there any other treatments I should try?
